Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale’s Graham Foster managed to save Dylan Penders tonight, after the teen tried to take the blame for Ray Walters’ death. But while Dylan was stopped from sinking into further trouble, Graham’s help may have caused a problem for Rhona Goskirk.

Last night, Dylan bravely decided to confess to Ray’s murder in order to protect Paddy Dingle and Bear Wolf. He posted a letter to the police, admitting to the crime, before fleeing the village.

In tonight’s episode, Dylan’s loved ones frantically tried to locate him, following his sudden disappearance. They feared he would breach his bail conditions if he didn’t show up to the police station, resulting in a warrant for his arrest.

“Dylan knows how to disappear. If he doesn’t want to be found, then he won’t be. He’ll be miles away by now,” April Windsor informed the worried adults.

Desperate Rhona secretly contacted Graham to help find the youngster, telling him he was her “only hope”. Graham echoed April’s sentiments, but when Rhona revealed the confession letter, he eventually agreed to put out a search.

Later, Rhona was surprised by an “express delivery” from Graham, who had swiftly brought the teen back home. Though she was relieved to see him, furious Dylan pointed out he would soon be arrested because of his letter.

“That confession will be back in your hand before the end of the day,” Graham assured him. “You have my word.”

Meanwhile, Aaron Dingle was unimpressed that Rhona had reached out to her ex, but she asked him not to mention it to Marlon, “for obvious reasons”.

Later, as the family celebrated Dylan’s return, Rhona anxiously awaited news about the letter. Just when she was about to give up hope, Graham arrived with the confession in hand as promised.

He explained that he had bribed a worker at the post sorting office to retrieve the letter, and assured a grateful Rhona that he wouldn’t get in trouble.

The pair shared a warm moment before Rhona rejoined the Dingles, claiming she had located the letter herself. But their exchange was witnessed by Joe Tate, who questioned Graham about his lingering feelings.

Could Graham be working his way back into Rhona’s heart? And how will Marlon react when he learns the truth?

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
