Casualty’s new resident doctor Matty Linklaker is set to discover fellow newbie Kim Chang’s dangerous secret in emotional new scenes.

Earlier this year, after viewers noticed some worrying signs, the soap confirmed that Kim was struggling with an eating disorder.
After eating a burger and chips, Kim was seen being sick in order to remove the calories from her dangerous calorie-tracking app.
Since then, the eating disorder has been impacting Kim’s health and has led to the doctor making some mistakes at work.
When Kim suggested she team up with Matty for a shift, Matty asked Kim to supervise while he carried out a lumbar puncture.
With Kim’s vision blurring due to her eating disorder, she read the instructions incorrectly, and Matty made a mistake, which resulted in the patient losing the feeling in her legs.
In scenes set to air on Saturday, 21 March, Kim’s vision starts to blur again, and Matty finally puts the pieces together.
At the ED, a distracted Kim and Siobhan are with patient Evie, whose lips have swollen after having an allergic reaction to some dodgy lip filler.
As Kim struggles to get a line in, she keeps one eye nervously on Matty in an attempt to cover up the fact that her vision is blurring.
Matty takes matters into his own hands and steps in to help, but Kim is quick to avoid his questioning.

Later, Matty probes Kim, gently telling her he thinks she has an eating disorder, referencing her cupcake binge from previous episodes.
He tells Kim that he has pieced it all together, saying the dizziness, fatigue, sickness, blurred vision, have all led to the mistakes she’s been making at work, especially the lumbar puncture.
Kim is about to open up when Stevie interrupts their conversation. Will Kim tell fellow resident Matty the truth?
Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
