One Championship club have confirmed two loanees arriving from Super League amid the departure of an experienced playmaker.

North Wales Crusaders have looked to the loan market and brought in youngsters from Leigh Leopards and Warrington Wolves ahead of their fixture against Halifax Panthers.

The Welsh outfit sit 14th in the Championship with two wins from their five games so far and they’ll take on the recently reformed Halifax, who sit at the foot of the table on account of their 12-point deduction following their previous liquidation.

North Wales have confirmed loan moves for Leigh Leopards’ Bailey Pemberton and Warrington Wolves’ Joe Bajer, both of whom have been named in the 21-man squad for Sunday’s game.

One man who has not been named and is no longer at the club is former Bradford Bulls, Hull KR and Featherstone Rovers playmaker Danny Addy with the Super League veteran released from his contract.

Super League veteran Danny Addy signs for new club

Addy had joined North Wales ahead of the 2026 season, joining from Featherstone Rovers where he had spent the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

The 35-year-old has joined Dewsbury Rams for the remainder of the season though he hasn’t been named in their squad to take on Workington Town this weekend.

Confirming Addy’s exit, North Wales said: “We can announce Danny Addy, has been released by the club with immediate effect.

“We’re sorry it didn’t work out for Danny in North Wales, and wish him well for whatever he does next.”

Addy started his career with Bradford Bulls where he played over 150 games before joining Hull KR. He also played for Salford Red Devils and in signing for Dewsbury, he joins the club that he appeared for on dual registration back in 2010 when starting out his professional career.
