Mohamed Salah has announced he’ll leave Liverpool in the summer, and his wife may be glad to see the back of their home for one reason in particularMohamed Salah of Liverpool looks on with his wife Magi at the end of the Premier League match between Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield on May 22, 2022 in Liverpool, United Kingdom

The announcement of Mohamed Salah’s impending Liverpool departure has rocked the Anfield faithful. But one who may not be particularly downtrodden about the news is the iconic winger’s wife, Magi.

Salah’s other half has been a loyal partner to the Egypt legend and is mother to their two children, daughters Makka and Kayan. And she’s shown her dedication by putting up with their Cheshire home becoming “like a hospital” in order to support his football endeavours.

Becoming arguably the best Premier League player in modern history hasn’t come without a sacrifice. And for Salah, that has meant transforming numerous portions of their abode using gym equipment and other doodads to keep the 33-year-old in mint condition.

Needless to say it’s worked a treat given the forward now leads the Premier League in just about every individual metric. And it shows the level of Magi’s sacrifice that she’s gone along with the hospital theme in order to optimise her hubby’s playing days.

“Two rooms in our house are dedicated to different fitness machines, bodybuilding,” he once told France Football. “At home I can also do cryotherapy, there is a hyperbaric chamber.

“I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition. It’s true that I like to say that my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn’t like that! [She] says that I spend more time with my machines than with her!”

All one needs to take is a brief glimpse at Salah’s ripped rig to understand the level of dedication he employs to get where he is. He might even give Cristiano Ronaldo a run for his money when it comes to bodybuilder-esque physiques in world football.

The chiselled transformation is of course only half the story behind his success, however. Having gone from being sold by Chelsea to a triumphant Premier League comeback on Merseyside, Salah has come up with the goods technically time and again to help put Liverpool back on top in England’s top flight.

With Salah leading the way, the Reds have won six major trophies over the course of his nine-year stay at Anfield. That includes one Champions League title, two Premier League crowns, one FA Cup, a League Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup to boot.

Salah has long lived in Cheshire’s ‘Golden Triangle’, an area popular with Premier League stars. In fact, he can count Manchester City rival Erling Haaland among his neighbours given the Norwegian is also based nearby.

The pair won’t be neighbours for much longer, however, as Salah prepares to head out the Anfield exit. Saudi Pro League clubs have been heavily linked with the veteran in recent years, and a move to the Middle East this summer would appear to be his most likely exit route.
