The hugely popular Harry Potter franchise is set to make its return to television screens in a matter of months as HBO will release its first eight episode series this Christmas.
Based on the books by J.K Rowling, each series of Harry Potter will be released on HBO Max, with UK viewers also able to tune in. Just this week, an exciting new trailer was released giving fans an insight into what to expect as the brand new faces were seen in action.
Opinions still appear to be split on the upcoming series, with some saying they “cannot wait”, while others remain cautious on how the series will play out.

The upcoming series will be adapted from the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone as exclusive first look images were also previously released.
Ahead of the brand new adaptation, fans may recognise some locations in Devon and Cornwall, where filming crews had previously been seen.
However, if the stunning filming locations were not enough, Harry Potter fans can also stay in a themed AirBnB, The Wizard’s Cauldron in Lewannick as well as visiting Looe, a must visit attraction for fans – which has a quirky-themed shop full of merchandise from the wizarding world, called Henrietta Pyewacket.
Kynance Cove

Kynance Cove is one of the country’s most popular and well known beaches which is cherished by locals and tourists alike. It secured a place on the ‘World’s 50 Best Beaches’ list back in 2024 as it is best known for its stunning views and colourful serpentine rocks.
Located on The Lizard, the National Trust describes it as: “A tidal beach for the adventurous, famous for its white sand, turquoise sea and rock stacks. Extremely busy with limited parking throughout July, August & September.”
Filming crews were seen setting up on Kynance Cove, with actors spotted filming on the grass area. Taking to a Facebook group titled Lovely Cornwall, an image of filming crews was shared as excitement continued to build for locals.
Cadgwith

Also on the Lizard is Cadgwith, a stunning fishing village with similar breathtaking views. The location is famous for its stunning views on the Lizard Peninsular as well as its whitewashed cottages and vibrant maritime traditions.
According to wearecornwall.com, Cadgwith is a “hidden coastal gem” as the website reads: “Escape the bustle of 21st century life and slip into a slower pace in Cadgwith, where old-fashioned simplicity combines with spectacular scenery to shape one of the prettiest fishing villages in the world.”
It was previously reported by Redanian Intelligence that the road between Prazegooth Lane and Campion Lane would be closed due to filming, back in 2025.
Lustleigh in Devon

Filming then moved on to Devon as filming crews were seen in the village of Lustleigh, which is on the edge of Dartmoor. It was previously reported that filming crews had filled in potholes along Wreyland Path as roads were transformed.
Lustleigh is one of Dartmoor’s most picturesque villages, which is often referred to as the “prettiest” village. It is well known for its storybook charm with traditional thatched cottages and historical church as well as stunning scenery.
According to Visit South Devon: “Situated within the captivating landscapes of Dartmoor National Park, Lustleigh is a picturesque village that exudes timeless charm and natural beauty.”
