The Mental Health Minister has repeated calls to regulatory bodies to act swiftly when it comes to investigating accountability at North Kerry CAMHS.
Minister of State Mary Butler yesterday announced a compensation scheme to children who were identified as having suffered or put at risk of harm while they were patients at the service.
It was also confirmed that a further review of cases at North Kerry Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services will be extended.
This will now extend back to 2014 and cover that period up to November 21st, 2022, and be directed specifically on areas where the potential for harm is deemed greatest.
Minister of State Butler will meet with families affected in Kerry over the Easter period.
She says accountability is important and reiterated calls to the Health Service and the Medical Council to act:
