A major police incident has been reported in Walsall tonight.

A high police presence has been reported near to the Asda store on George Street.

The road as well as surrounding roads are said to be closed, according to residents and a local neighbourhood watch group.

People have been warned to avoid the area due to a large amount of traffic.

Palfrey and Caldmore Neighbourhood Watch’s account posted on X: “Incident #Walsall, near Asda George St-surrounding roads closed and high police presence! Incident unknown!!

“Avoid area due to built up traffic!”

Residents have also reported an incident in the area.

One asked on Facebook: “Whats happend in walsall asda carpark police everywhere roads cornered of.

“traffic bloody night mare hope it nothing serious ??”
