Reported Rangers transfer target Jens Hjerto Dahl has doubled down on his decision to knock back a lucrative switch to Turkey in January.
And with the Light Blues said to still be keen on his services, the Tromso star insists that there is one other club he will never join.
Danny Rohl‘s team were among a number of teams credited with an interest in the 20-year-old in the winter window but it was Istanbul giants Besiktas who put a mega offer worth around £7.7million on the table for the player, only to be turned down.
As a further demonstration of his loyalty to his boyhood club, Hjerto-Dahl has penned a new contract that will keep him in Scandinavia until the end of 2029.
The Norway youth international has once again revealed the ‘difficult’ decision he made in opting not to go to Turkey.
He has also delivered an unequivocal answer when asked if he would ever consider joining domestic rivals Bodo/Glimt, who made history earlier this season by becoming the first Eliteserien club to reach the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
Asked about a potential switch to the league champions by NRK, he bluntly replied: “No.
The youngster then spoke about the speculation around his future in January, adding: – “It was very difficult. I had to go through a lot of rounds with myself and my family and agents and stuff like that.
“But I’m very happy with that choice. And there’s no doubt that I now feel one hundred percent that it was the right choice. And to be here in Tromsø..”
