Young people in north Northamptonshire can get free vaccinations during the Easter holidays, through a series of drop-in clinics.

Children in school years 8 to 13 can receive jabs in Wellingborough and Kettering, on selected dates between 7 and 10 April.

Available vaccines include one for HPV, which protects against several cancers, the MenACWY vaccine for meningitis and septicaemia, the MMR vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella, and the teenage booster for tetanus, diphtheria and polio.

Dr Jane Bethea, North Northamptonshire Council’s director of public health, said: “Vaccinations help keep people healthy, safe and protected from serious illnesses.”
