Theatrical Trailer
Originally released in 2006, Slither follows the story of a small town in South Carolina becoming invaded by an alien parasite. The parasite takes over Rooker’s character, leading the other characters to having to put a stop to the invasion. Although it received positive reviews, the movie didn’t perform extremely well at the box office, but has since become a cult classic to fans.
Alongside Fillion, Slither also stars Elizabeth Banks, Gregg Henry, and Rooker. The movie was written by Gunn, and produced by Paul Brooks and Eric Newman. Following Slither, Gunn would go on to direct 2010’s Super, and then go right into the MCU, where he’d direct the three Guardians of the Galaxy movies before taking over as co-head of the DCU.
