Two Emmerdale stars have got married after they first met on the hit ITV soap. Actors Kris Mochrie and Max Parker became close friends on the set of the Yorkshire-based soap but their bond soon blossomed into relationship. Six years later, the two soap stars have tied the knot in a lavish ceremony held in Suffolk.
Max and Kris portrayed brothers Luke and Lee Posner in the fictional village of Emmerdale. Despite falling on love on set, the two actors never actually shared any screen time together.
Kris was filming his final scenes as Lee when he met Max and kept in touch with him after his character’s exit. The two sparked dating rumours when they enjoyed a rainy hike together and shared a snap of themselves sunbathing on Instagram.

Kris, who shot to fame on Brookside, arrived in Emmerdale as Lee Posner when his character met Victoria Sugden in a night club in 2019. The character was involved in a dark storyline when he raped Victoria after the night out.
Lee’s time on the soap was short-lived when he was killed later that year. Victoria’s brother Robert was sent to prison for his murder, and he has recently made a surprise return as part of Aaron Dingle’s wedding storyline.
A short time after Lee’s dramatic exit, Victoria went on couple of dates with a handsome cafe worker whom she met at Hotten General Hospital.
To her surprise, she later discovered her new man was Lee’s brother Luke (Max Parker). After two chaotic years in the village, Luke decided to bid farewell to start a new way of life somewhere else away from the drama.
Fortunately, the actors live a more peaceful life away from the cameras. They both seemed to be in the right place at the right time after they fell in love on set.
The couple have been dating since 2021 and have happily tied the knot after getting engaged in 2022. Max said he popped the question to Kris while on holiday.
In a post on social media at the time, Max said: “He deserves the world, but the best I could do was promise him my heart. HE SAID YES. Happiest moment of my life. @krismoc my Fiancé.”

Speaking to the Mirror about their romance, Kris explained: “It’s great to meet someone through work and have so many things in common and an understanding of each other’s jobs.
“We didn’t actually share any scenes together on Emmerdale but kept in touch after I left. I don’t want to jinx things. We are seeing how we get on. We had a great time on holiday in Dubai. Let’s see how it goes.”
Max and Kris got married yesterday, August 6, in a gorgeous ceremony in a breathtaking location at the Wilderness Reserve in Suffolk. They shared a selection of snaps of their special day on Instagram.
Leanne Campbell was also in attendance and she shared a post on social media to mark the occasion. The radio host said: “Max & Kris didn’t just get married… they hosted a masterpiece.
“What an event and still one more day to celebrate these kind, handsome, thoughtful men. How did we get so lucky to call you our friends. The day? Immaculate. The guests? Fabulous. The couple? Flawless. Dress.”
