Det Ch Insp Lucie Card, whose team is leading the investigation, has appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident, or information about the shooting, to contact them.
“Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family and loved ones,” she added.
“We are aware of the concern that this incident will cause the local community. We have already made three arrests and our investigation continues.”
