As well as giving us an incredible card of action, tonight also marked US based Most Valuable Promotions’ first event in the UK.
The boxing promotion, fronted by Jake Paul, have gone strength to strength under the leadership of Paul and Nakisa Bidarian. A significant portion of the world’s female world champions sits in their stable, with those who fought tonight also joined by the likes of Amanda Serrano, Mikaela Mayer and Alycia Baumgardner.

As a result, MVP have decided to launch a women’s boxing league. It is unclear how the league will work exactly, but this event was the first of the series.
It’s also worth bearing in mind that until the Muhammad Ali Boxing Revival Act is passed into law in the US, this ‘league” cannot operate. The Muhammad Ali Boxing Reform Act is a key bit of legislation in the US designed to curb the powers of promoters and offer protections to boxers, but the rise of Dana White’s Zuffa Boxing appears set to make drastic changes to that Act and allow a more UFC-style outfits in boxing.
