Roads to close during East Cleveland Classic cycle race

Rolling road closures are set to take place to keep people safe during a major cycling race, organisers have warned.

The East Cleveland Classic will be held on 12 April in Saltburn, with the women’s race starting at 09:00 BST and the men’s competition beginning at 13:15.

Roads along the course will be closed to traffic by police escort vehicles for periods of about 15 minutes to allow the race to pass safely.

But Glenside will be closed all day from 06:00 BST to all unauthorised traffic between the junction of Windsor Terrace and the junction on Albion Terrace.
