An air ambulance landed on a Welsh golf course after a medical emergency. The aircraft was called to help a casualty who was injured on the golf course in Beaumaris on Anglesey.
Môn-SAR rescuers said they had been contacted by North Wales Police shortly before 1pm on Saturday to assist the Welsh Ambulance Service. Make sure you never miss Wales’ biggest updates by getting our daily newsletter
“We accepted the call at 1pm and deployed eight search technicians, which included our 4X4 drivers and team medic,” the rescue team said. “Team members arrived on scene within 20 minutes of the call.”

The casualty was assessed by the medical professionals and it was quickly determined they had a “severe ankle break” and would require “advanced medical intervention” before they were taken to hospital.

The Wales Air Ambulance was called to the scene to assist.
“Following treatment from the aircraft’s doctor and advanced paramedic, the casualty was packaged and transported to Ysbyty Gwynedd,” Môn-SAR said.
