Emmerdale’s Jacob Sugden receives an awful shock next week when he learns that Dr Todd is moving in with Vanessa Woodfield. With Todd now living so close by, Jacob looks set to suffer even more misery as she tells a shocking lie about his conduct.
While strolling in the village with his wife Sarah, a nervous Jacob spies his nasty boss chatting with Manpreet Sharma and Vanessa outside Tug Ghyll cottage. And it doesn’t take long for Jacob to discover that Todd isn’t there for a chinwag – she’s going to be living with Vanessa.

“Just one look at Jacob’s face tells you all you need to know,” shares our Dales insider. “It’s bad enough that Dr Todd is on his case constantly at work, now there’s every chance that she will hassle him while he’s off duty too.
“Jacob is a young guy with a bright future ahead of him, he should be looking forward to waking up every day, not feeling worried about leaving the house.”
The week kicks off with Dr Todd assuring Jacob that things are fine between them, despite his ongoing concerns about their fraught working relationship.
However, Jacob is none the wiser that Todd is secretly recording an audio log with the intent to accuse him of obsessive behaviour down the line…
“If only Jacob knew what Dr Todd was doing – she has a sick masterplan to ruin his life, but Jacob doesn’t have the foggiest,” continues our spy. “He’s worked so hard to get to where he is, now one person has the power to bring him down.

“Here’s hoping that if it came to the worst, Jacob would be able to prove that she’s manipulated the audio files for her own gain. But that may well be much easier said than done…”
Later, Jacob reaches the end of his tether with Dr Todd and the mind games that she’s playing with him.
As a result, Jacob arranges to swap shifts with his friend Rich so that he can spend some time away from the malicious medic. His plan backfires though, as Jacob soon finds out that the swap means he will now definitely be working with Todd the next day!

Subsequently, Jacob bumps into Dr Todd and Manpreet at The Woolpack. There, Todd has a drink with Manpreet, then uses the opportunity to slyly make out that Jacob is obsessed with her.
With Dr Todd now living just around the corner, should Jacob watch his back? And will Todd use her closeness to Jacob to gather more fake evidence against him?
