We are down to the final eight teams in Rugby League’s oldest competition, and to the victors will go the spoils on Friday night, as this is a knockout match.
Paul Rowley’s side kicked off their campaign with a commanding 2-98 win at Workington Town in the Third Round at the start of February. They then followed up with a gritty 8-32 away victory over Castleford Tigers in the Fourth Round during March.
St.Helens continue to do it tough on the injury front, with many senior players still unavailable due to injury, but the team are riding high after a remarkable comeback victory over the then top of the table Wigan Warriors in the Good Friday derby. Our men will also be out to make it two wins over Catalans, having already been victorious in the first meeting in 2026. The Red V beat the Perpignan side 4-36 at the Stade Gilbert Brutus at the end of February.
The Dragons’ journey to the final eight has involved facing two sides from the Betfred Championship, firstly a 4-56 away win at Batley Bulldogs before returning home to claim a 58-0 victory against Oldham in the Fourth Round.
Joel Tomkins’ Dragons also got back to winning ways during Rivals Round, beating fellow French side Toulouse 33-26 at home on Saturday.
The winning team will advance to the Semi-Finals, which are scheduled for the weekend of May 9th and 10th.
