Cole Palmer has revealed the high standards being set behind the scenes, admitting that Liam Rosenior has demanded a perfect week from every Chelsea player ahead of Manchester City.
Chelsea currently sits in sixth place in the Premier League table, trailing fifth-placed Liverpool by just a single point.
As the race for European qualification intensifies, the Blues face a pivotal April that could define Liam Rosenior’s campaign. It all kicks off with a massive clash against title-contenders Manchester City at Stamford Bridge this weekend, followed by an encounter with Manchester United.
A midweek trip to Brighton on April 21 rounds out a difficult run, all while the squad balances the anticipation of an FA Cup semi-final against Leeds United on April 25.
Following the April gauntlet, a difficult trip to Anfield in early May looms as another potential season-decider, but hopefully the outlook will be much more positive by then.

“The gaffer has said it needs to be a perfect week; everyone needs to be on it.
“Every time you win, it’s nice. Losing those four games was not good and it’s fair to say that confidence was down. It’s natural for it to go down. But the win [against Port Vale] meant everyone was happy and now we’ve got a clear week and we need to have a good game on Sunday.
“We’re looking forward to it – it should be a good one.”
Now, it looks as if Enzo Fernandez will miss the Manchester City clash, which won’t help Chelsea’s cause, but it is a positive to see Rosenior sticking to his guns with him.
