When it comes to snakes, people often have very strong opinions. The pendulum typically swings far from one side to the other as people declare their love or disdain for the serpent species. Whether you’re a snake enthusiast or detest them with passion, one woman’s brave interaction with the biggest snake I’ve ever seen is quite impressive.
In a recent Instagram Reel, an account named @thereptilezoo posted a video of their operations director, Juliette Brewer, hurriedly carrying a massive anaconda through the building. She actually makes it look easy—not just in strength but in her fearless handling of one of the world’s deadliest predators.
As the video plays, viewers can hear excited squealing as Juliette swiftly walks through the hall with the enormous snake draped over her shoulder. The caption reads, “Everybody meet Sweet Pea, our new Anaconda🤩 Now she is definitely very sweet, but she ain’t no pea🙃 This girl is dense and very heavy, moving her around is a workout😳.”
Once Juliette gets Sweet Pea to her intended destination, she announces that she weighs about 290 pounds. She gives her some gentle pats and affectionately calls her “baby girl,” clearly excited to love this new creature and share her with the world.
According to Encyclopedia Britannica, the green anaconda is the largest snake in the world, and can grow to nearly 30 feet in length. The average length of this nonvenomous constricting snake is about 18 feet. I’m going to assume that Sweet Pea is considered average, if not significantly above, as her body is solid and incredibly long.
Viewers are amazed by Juliette for both her seemingly superhuman strength and courage to maneuver the massive snake.

“She is sweet until she squeezes the life out of you,” warned one user. To which the original poster replied, “not today 😂.”
“I’m ignoring the fact that she just called a green anaconda baby girl 😂😂,” one user joked about the unlikely nickname. Another user replied, “Absolutely valid. Personally, I like river queen or cuddle noodle.”
Anacondas are native to South America, and are one of the many species of snake residents at The Reptile Zoo in Fountain Valley, California. The zoo is open daily, and visitors are able to see and learn about 100 different exotic species of reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids from around the world.
