A charity which helps more people enjoy cycling by offering sessions using adapted bikes is planning more sessions at a new venue.
Guernsey charity Wheels for You is to run weekly outdoor sessions, doubling its previous offering. Sessions will alternate between the new Victoria Avenue track and Les Beaucamps High School.
Co-founder Caroline Barby said the growth came after a surge in demand. “We knew the demand was there, but we didn’t have the capacity,” she said.
“It’s not just about cycling. It’s about getting active, but also about community. People come here, they see familiar faces, they have a cup of tea and a chat. It’s a sense of belonging, and that’s just as important.”
