Cardi B has claimed she was the victim of credit card fraud after alleging that around $60,000 (€51,000) was spent on one of her cards without her permission.

The rapper made the claim during an Instagram Live, where she said she does not “play” about her money.

Cardi B alleged the card was used to make two large purchases, including one at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and another at Apple.

She also claimed surveillance images showed suspects trying to use the card at a bank ATM before the account was frozen.

Born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, Cardi B first broke through with Bodak Yellow, which became her first US number one single in 2017.

She went on to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys for her debut album Invasion of Privacy, becoming the first solo female artist to win in that category.

She has since become one of the biggest names in hip hop, with hits including I Like It and WAP, and is known as much for her outspoken social media presence as for her music.
