-Tate Modern was evacuated at around 11.30am after reports of a suspicious package.

-Emergency services, including police, ambulance crews and the London Fire Brigade, rushed to the scene in Bankside, Southwark.

-Two fire engines from Dowgate and Soho fire stations were sent to assist police.

-Social media footage showed multiple emergency vehicles and what appeared to be an explosive ordnance disposal lorry near the entrance.

-A cordon was put in place around Tate Modern and nearby areas.Millennium Bridge, which sits beside the gallery on the riverfront, was also evacuated.

-Some unconfirmed reports on social media suggested nearby offices were also evacuated after a suspicious package was reportedly delivered to a reception area next door to Tate Modern.

-Police later confirmed the suspicious package was assessed and found not to be harmful.

-The cordon was lifted, officers stood down and both Tate Modern and Millennium Bridge reopened.

-The Met Police said they would not comment on what the package was.
