Eamonn Holmes was reportedly found “slumped unconscious at home” after a terrifying stroke. Former ITV This Morning star Eamonn’s condition was announced by current employer, GB News, on Sunday.
Reports say girlfriend Katie Alexander is praying for the 66-year-old, who was found out cold at home and rushed to hospital. Taking to social media, Katie wrote online: “What a week. Prayer, prayer each day.”
Estranged wife Ruth Langsford was kept up to date by son Jack, 23, according to reports. Speaking to the Sun newspaper, one friend said: “It’s been a terrifying time. Eamonn fell ill at home and those close to him have been worried sick ever since.

“Fortunately, Eamonn’s on the road to recovery. Katie has been by his side in hospital pretty much all of the time, except to get a change of clothes at home.
“She loves him dearly and is doing all she can to help. Everyone is just praying he’ll be back home soon.”
Another pal told The Sun on Sunday: “Katie has been praying for Eamonn every day. She’s beside herself after an incredibly emotional and rollercoaster week.
“She’s been to church to pray in solitude. She’s a devout Christian and is in shock after spending so much quality time with Eamonn over the Easter weekend.”
The friend added: “This has all felt like an even bigger shock given that Eamonn was set to be back on-screen next week, doing what he loves.”
A source added: “Ruth is concerned for him, he is the father of her son, and she wishes him well. Everyone in the family was made aware of the emergency.”
Holmes told the Sun newspaper in 2022 that his health problems had put his marriage under strain. He suffered a dislocated pelvis in 2021, which later resulted in three slipped discs in his back.
“Even my own family are bored of my moaning,” he said. “It has caused some strain and Ruth is fed up of hearing about it and of me saying I can’t walk the dog or tidy up, but I can’t help it. It’s agony.”
