Adam Gregory, one of the festival directors, told the BBC: “Everyone describes it like being at home. The fans are absolutely lovely, very polite and engaging, and they look forward to this throughout the year.
“It’s their holiday, for a lot of people.
“Generally they’re the nicest people you’ll ever meet. It’s just a great place to be around.”
Speaking about the impact of the death of Osbourne on the festival, Mr Gregory said: “I think a lot of people want to celebrate Ozzy, it’s not about being upset and miserable, it’s about celebrating the legacy of an icon.”
