Tate McRae is turning up the heat in Miami.
The 22-year-old Canadian pop star was spotted taking a break from recording her new album, hitting the pool in a blue string bikini in the south Florida city over the weekend.
The Greedy singer showed off her incredibly toned figure as she lounged by the water, soaking up some sun in the tiny polka dot G-string two-piece with wraparound sunglasses.
At one point she covered up from the heat with an oversized white T-shirt. She appeared to be alone for the sunbaking session.
McRae has reportedly been in Miami for four days recording at the iconic Criteria Recording Studios, where she is making her fourth album.
She is said to have been accompanied by her mum in the studio, who often acts as her creative sounding board and confidante.
McRae, who wrapped up her first-ever American arena tour in December, suffered an awkward gaffe during a concert in November where she was busting miming on stage.
The singer had just finished a dance break when she brought her microphone back to her face to continue singing.
Her voice rang out through the arena as she moved her lips. The only problem was, she was holding her microphone upside-down.
The pop star’s vocals didn’t falter as she realised her mistake and swiftly turned her mic the right way up. Clips of the awkward moment quickly went viral.
Meanwhile, McRae’s ex-boyfriend, The Kid Laroi, was also busy over the weekend.
The Aussie singer appeared during Justin Bieber’s Coachella set to perform their hit 2021 song Stay.
McRae and The Kid Laroi broke up in July 2025 after roughly a year and a half of dating. She is now dating pro American hockey player Jack Hughes, who plays for the New Jersey Devils.
McRae first gained prominence as a contestant on the US reality TV series So You Think You Can Dance in 2016.
She then launched a successful music career with her viral 2017 song One Day, and has amassed a massive following on YouTube and TikTok.
In a recent interview with TIME Magazine, McRae said she feels most at home on stage performing for large crowds.
“[It’s] so ironic that in front of 20,000 people I have way less fear than sitting in a small room,” the 22-year-old said.
“I feel safe on stage, and I feel like this is my moment, where I can take it as far as I want.”
