John Cartwright has made four changes to his Hull FC 21-man squad ahead of Sunday’s Super League clash against Salford Red Devils – with Will Pryce and John Asiata both named.

The duo have been out with hamstring injuries since May but are fit enough to return to the squad. A final call will be made after Saturday’s captain’s run as to whether they feature on Sunday, but as it stands, both players are expected to play a role, offering Hull a big boost for the remaining seven games of the regular season.

They are joined by Ed Chamberlain, who has been given the all clear to return to action after missing the last two games due to a failed HIA. Lloyd Kemp is also included, offering Hull some depth with the ability to play full-back, half-back, and centre.

The quartet replace Liam Knight, who has a stress fracture to his ankle and, according to Cartwright, will be ‘lucky’ to play again this season. The news is a big blow to Hull, who have re-signed the player to a new deal after an impressive run of form.

Elsewhere, Jordan Rapana also drops out after suffering a third HIA of the season. He will see a specialist before he is given the clearance to return to action. Young duo Will Gardiner and Will Hutchinson also make way.

Liam Watts is named again after making his long-awaited comeback against Huddersfield last time out. He is joined by the likes of Jed Cartwright, Aidan Sezer, and Zak Hardaker.

On the injury front, Hull are also without Ligi Sao (knee), Jordan Lane (arm), Brad Fash (hamstring), and Roman Dawson (ACL).
