Hull FC have named Harry Newman in their 21-man squad to face St Helens at the MKM Stadium on Thursday night. The on-loan Leeds Rhinos centre will wear number ’37’ and is one of five changes to the squad following the Good Friday defeat to Hull KR.
The 26-year-old has arrived on an original one-week loan and is set for his Hull debut against the Saints. Newman is joined by Yusuf Aydin, who will be given every chance to show he has recovered from an ankle injury, and Brad Fash, who is passed fit again after a late failed HIA ruled him out of the derby. Will Kirby is also brought in, while Lloyd Kemp is named.
Dropping out of the side are Jake Arthur (ankle), John Asiata (hamstring), Joe Batchelor (back), and Arthur Romano (ankle). Ryan Westerman also makes way.
Hull are without ten players to injury. In full, they are Will Pryce (ACL), Harvey Barron (ankle), Jake Arthur (ankle), Herman Ese’ese (Achilles), Joe Batchelor (back), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), John Asiata (hamstring), Arthur Romano (ankle), Joe Phillips (leg), and Joe Ward (ACL).
Meanwhile, St Helens have made three changes. Jake Wingfield has suffered an ACL injury and drops out. Lewis Murphy also picked up an elbow injury against Catalans last week. Young Academy player Oscar Knox also makes way.
Saints captain Matty Lees returns to the 21-man squad selection for the first time since their first match of the season against Workington Town in the Challenge Cup, where he suffered a knee injury. Young duo Alfie Sinclair and Billy Keeley come in.
The Saints remain without Jonny Lomax (shoulder), Nene Macdonald (knee), Jacob Host (leg), Agnatius Paasi (hamstring), Curtis Sironen (calf), Jake Burns (ankle), and Mark Percival (hamstring).
