He formed the orchestra – named after a friend of his mother’s – 30 years ago, playing contemporary arrangements of classic jazz and American Songbook standards.
On performing in Wolverhampton, the actor – known for his wry sense of humour – said he could not wait to see it and would jump in with both feet.
“Wolverhampton is one of the great places on earth that I’ve never been… it will complete my life,” he said.
He will also be performing in Manchester, Glasgow and London in the UK.
Goldblum, 73, is the latest big name stopping off in Wolverhampton during a UK tour.
Hollywood giant Will Smith, Robbie Williams and Bob Dylan have all performed at The Halls since the venue’s grand refurbishment concluded in 2023.
