Paris Fury revealed what it would take for Tyson to finally quit boxing
Tyson Fury‘s wife Paris Fury has said there is only one thing that would stop him from boxing for good. The heavyweight champion has announced his retirement multiple times over the years, only to return to the ring each time. Most recently, the 37-year-old fought Arslanbek Makhmudov after another comeback and won.
In the new series of At Home with the Furys, cameras follow Tyson’s return to boxing alongside his and Paris’ chaotic family life.
While promoting the series, she and the couple’s daughter Venezuela – one of their seven children – were asked what they believe it would take for the boxer to finally retire.
Speaking to Heat Magazine, Venezuela said: “If one of his legs falls off! If he loses the use of his hands.” Sharing her thoughts, Paris suggested she doesn’t think the decision will ultimately come from Tyson himself.
“I think it’s going to be something severe,” she told the publication. “I hope the penny drops and he thinks, ‘You know what? It’s time to give up the gloves now’. But I don’t know when that will be.”
After his latest win, Tyson insisted he still had at least one more fight left in him, calling out Anthony Joshua as his next opponent.

Speaking directly to his rival from the ring at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, he said on the microphone: “I challenge you, Anthony Joshua, to fight me next. Do you accept?”.
In response, he said: “I punched you up when we were kids and I’ll punch you up again. You aren’t going to tell me what to do, I’ve been chasing you for 10 years.
“I’m the boss, you work for me. I’m the landlord. You work for me,” he added.
“You [Anthony Joshua] are next. You are getting knocked out. Believe it,” Tyson continued.
The boxer has also claimed he is “not interested in boxing” again unless it’s with Anthony. “I’ll eat a thousand Easter eggs, go up to 35 stone and I’m out, not interested. It’s either him or I’m gone again. I only care about AJ now.
“That’s the defining fight for British boxing; it’s either going to happen or it’s not,” he added.

While supporting him at the event, Paris revealed she has repeatedly urged him to stick to retirement, though understands why he can’t give up.
She told the Daily Mail: “I kept suggesting to him, ‘Why don’t you train people as a boxer? Why don’t you get involved in something that you enjoy?’.
“He doesn’t have any hobbies. And it’s hard to take away someone’s life’s passion, and I couldn’t be the one to do it.”
Reflecting on his repeated retirement attempts, she added: “He couldn’t find anything else good. No matter what we did, we couldn’t find him something he enjoyed. It’s hard. It’s hard work, a one-track mind with him.”
