Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley has been sharing her holiday snaps with fans after admitting to an airport blunder that left her husband unimpressed.
As fans of the ITV soap know, the actress returned to Weatherfield back in October after seven years away, as she reprised the role of Eva Price, and was joined by her new on-screen family – partner Ben Driscoll, his mother Maggie, and his sons, Ollie and Will.
It came after Eva left Weatherfield to start a new life in France back in 2018 and Catherine previously said that the move “felt right”, with her alter-ego returning as the new landlady of the Rovers Return.
But away from playing her Weatherfield alter-ego, Catherine is often seen sharing glimpses into her family life on social media. The soap star is a doting mum to two children, son Alfie and daughter Iris, who she shares with her husband, Tom Pitafield, who she married back in 2016.
And the family-of-four recently headed off for some sunshine as the Easter school holidays took place. But Catherine was seen taking to social media with a video of herself and Tom, in which she admitted she got the time of their flight wrong, and they ended up being several hours early to the deserted airport.
As Catherine told the story to the camera, she couldn’t not do so without giggling, while Tom admitted he didn’t find it as funny as his wife. Captioning the post, she said: “This was 6.20 AM … We got up at 3.30am… he HATES me… @tompitfieldphotography.”

And her Corrie co-stars were quick to respond. Andy Whyment said: “Tom really does need to start checking things himself and not take your word for it Cath [crying laughing emojis].” Pauline McLynn replied: “Hilarious!!! Bad Cath on top form – love her.” Brooke Vincent shared: “I’m obsessed with this!!!! Everything… But also how you’ve got THAT READY the neckerchief is in tow.”
But it appears the holiday memories were worth it. In a new Instagram post, Catherine shared a glimpse into her and Tom’s time with the kids in Barcelona as she said: “We made it home! [crying laughing emojis].” She added: “Life’s been crazy busy of late- But we grabbed cheeky weekend in #Barcelona. What a city and what fabulous, special memories we made. My heart is full! But now- back to a big week on them cobbles.”
And again, the comments soon came flooding in. @stephglitter said: “Aw Cath you look stunning… gorgeous little family.” @sarahfinn31 replied: “What a beautiful family.” @davidelliott9056 commented: “Lovely family photos Catherine hope you had a nice time.” @maxwell.t.irving added: “It looks amazing! And their little faces on the plane. So glad you made it in the end.”
