PREM outfit Harlequins have released a shocking injury list, with as many as 27 first-team players currently sidelined with various knocks.
The Londoners now find themselves with just 24 fit players from their 41-man squad ahead of their visit to league leaders Bath, as they return to league action after being knocked out of the Investec Champions Cup by Sale Sharks.
Jason Gilmore’s side currently sit ninth in the PREM table heading into round 13, but are just one point behind eighth-placed Gloucester.
Harlequins staggering injury list revealed as 27 players sidelined
Of the 27 players injured, 16 come in the forward pack alone, and the bulk of that contingent are props.
Cameron Doak, Pedro Delgado, Harry Williams and Boris Wenger are all short-term issues, with the trio suffering respective head, knee, neck and hamstring issues, while Titi Lamisotele is expected to make his return from a foot injury next month. Simon Kerrod is also sidelined for the rest of the season with a foot injury.
England loosehead Fin Baxter is also expected to be back around May after undergoing surgery on a foot issue earlier this year, which will come as a major boost to both Gilmore and Steve Borthwick. Baxter was initially pulled out of their starting XV to face Bristol Bears in December as a precaution, but has not taken to the field since and missed England’s Six Nations campaign in the process.

His potential return also comes with the national side in the midst of an injury crisis at prop, with Trevor Davison and Will Stuart likely to miss July’s Nations Championship Tests.
Things are just as bad in the back-five for Harlequins, too. Joe Launchbury, Harry Browne and Jonny Green are all short-term concerns through quad, hamstring and calf issues, while Jordan Els is expected to be fit in June as he recovers from an Achilles injury.
James Chisholm and Tate Williams are also undergoing further assessments on calf and shoulder knocks, while Lucas Schmid and Stephan Lewies are also out for the rest of the season as well through respective ankle and shoulder issues.
Of the 11 backs sidelined, only Jamie Benson is expected back in the near future, but Will Porter, Oscar Beard and Frank McMillan are set to return in May.
Josh Bellamy, Rodrigo Isgró and Ludo Kolade all require further assessment on their respective thumb and rib injuries, while Kolade is struggling with his vision.
Elsewhere, Sean Sharp, Ben Waghorn, Tyrone Green and Cassius Cleaves are all set to miss the rest of the campaign through knee, hamstring and back issues.
