A teenager was arrested after a car was wrecked following a crash in Oldham. Officers attended Oak Road, in Limeside, on Friday evening (April 17).

Images from the scene showed a grey Renault Clio severely damaged following the smash, with its front end ruined and airbags deployed. The car could be seen with its rear wheels on the kerb and it’s front wheels on the road.

Shattered glass could also be seen strewn on the ground. A grey Ford Focus also appeared to suffer damage in the collision.

Police and paramedics were called out to the scene. Greater Manchester Police says the driver, a 17-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

He was not injured in the crash, GMP says. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged, according to the force.
