Disney+ has released the official trailer for season two of Rivals after announcing that the show will return to our screens on May 15.

The adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s popular 1980s novel has been filmed in Wiltshire, as well as other locations across the southwest, with extensive shooting taking place in Corsham over the last few years.

The second series will see David Tennant, Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, Danny Dyer, Emily Atack, and many other stars reprise their roles in the show.

They will be joined by new guest stars Hayley Atwell and Rupert Everett.

Filming for series two took over Corsham High Street in June last year when David Tennant, who plays Lord Tony Baddingham, and his on-screen wife Claire Rushbrook were both seen in the town.

Camera crews returned in October when Alex Hassell, who plays Rupert Campbell Black, Aidan Turner, who plays Declan O’Hara, and Nafessa Williams, who plays Cameron Cook, were all spotted on the High Street.

During these filming sessions, different buildings around the town centre were transformed to depict the fictional 1980s county of Rutshire.

More filming took place inside The Royal Oak pub this February.
