Soudal-Quick Step could have been forgiven for sulking this week after the announcement that Remco Evenepoel would be leaving to join Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe, but the squad has instead busied itself with winning bike races and bolstering its 2026 roster.
Remco Evenepoel is officially headed to Red Bull
Months of speculation is over, Remco is on the move.

On Friday, Soudal confirmed long-swirling rumors and announced a two-year deal with Dylan van Baarle, the 2022 Paris-Roubaix champion. The 33-year-old Dutchman has spent the past three seasons with Visma-Lease a Bike, where his biggest achievement was winning the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in his very first appearance with the squad.
Injuries have thoroughly derailed Van Baarle’s past year or so, as he broke his collarbone at the 2024 Critérium du Dauphiné, his hip at that year’s Vuelta a España, and his collarbone again at the Tour Down Under earlier this year. In short, he has not been able to replicate the success of a few years ago, but Van Baarle is optimistic about re-finding the form that propelled him to Classics stardom as he looks ahead to his new team to help get him back on track.
