All the news, action and reaction as it happens as Stoke City take on Millwall in their final mid-week game of the Championship season
Camiel Neghli scores against Stoke City
Hello, good evening and welcome to our live coverage from the bet365 Stadium for Stoke City’s Championship match against Millwall.
This is Stoke’s final mid-week game of the season and Mark Robins is hoping to end his first full term in charge with a mini unbeaten run at home. They are undefeated in six on their own turf, in contrast to their away form. Robins is looking for a positive reaction following a 2-0 defeat at Wrexham at the weekend.
They are up against a familiar face in Alex Neil, who left Stoke in late 2023 and is still dreaming of taking Millwall to the Premier League. Millwall are third heading into this round of fixtures sitting third and level on points with second-placed Ipswich Town, who have a game in hand. Southampton are a point behind and Middlesbrough two points behind them.
Ashley Phillips returns from suspension but Aaron Cresswell (knee) and Bosun Lawal picked up injuries at Wrexham.
We will have all the news, action and reaction as it happens. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and team news will be confirmed around 6.30pm. You can have your say too. Click here to join in the debate through the day.

Alex Neil reaction
Neil: “We’ve got the best away record in the league, the most clean sheets, there’s so much to like in this tema, they’re a dream to manage. The last two performances in particular have been brilliant. It wasn’t easy to play here tonight. The atmosphere was a little bit dead and we had to generate our own importance.”

Star man a sub.

A few boos but the stadium is almost empty. Millwall fans are singing Alex Neil’s name. They’re second.

Surprisingly few although Millwall have hardly let the game play for the last few either.

Today21:28 BST

Bocat piroettes into the penalty area and lamps a shot straight at Patterson. Nice move.
Today21:24 BST
81Yellow card
Danny McNamara wins one of the most pointless cards of the season award for a daft foul on Gallagher.
Thomas’s free-kick is picked up by Cisse on the far side and he does well to drive past defenders and get in a decent cross.
Today21:20 BST
79Stoke 1 Millwall 3
First contact again from a Stoke corner. This time it’s Cisse and his header bounces down and wide.
Today21:20 BST
78Stoke 1 Millwall 3
Super pass from Gallagher and Cisse sprints in behind and takes a touch past the keeper but it takes him wide. He should have probably scored that.
Today21:15 BST
63Stoke double sub
Ben Pearson and Milan Smit are coming on for Stoke.
Robert Bozenik, who has put in a shift, comes off to a warm applause. Nzonzi is off too.
Today21:13 BST

Thomas does well to hold off Taylor and Crama and he takes a shot from 20 yards which is deflected out for a corner.
Robins is preparing another change.
Today21:11 BST
69GOAL! Stoke 1 Millwall 3 – Josh Coburn
Josh Coburn seals it for Millwall.
Seko passes short to Otegbayo, whose pass out is stolen and Coburn played in for a one-on-one which he takes early to beat Bazunu.
Today21:08 BST
65Stoke 1 Millwall 2
Agina looks like he’s fouled running into the MIllwall box. Ref Josh Smith says no. A good turn of pace from Agina nonetheless and a good drive as he was surrounded by three defenders.
It looked like a shove in the back from Thierno Ballo.
Today21:04 BST
62Stoke 1 Millwall 2
Chaos in the Stoke box and sarcastic cheers when Bazunu gathers. But Stoke break and the crowd us up. Gallagher wins a corner.
Today21:02 BST
60GOAL! Stoke 1 Millwall 2 – Lamine Cisse
Cisse!
Thomas’s cross is touched across goal by Nzonzi. Cisse controls and then finishes from an angle.

59Stoke double sub
Manhoef and Baker are replaced by Gallagher and Cisse.
Today20:57 BST
55GOAL! Stoke 0 Millwall 2 – Femi Azeez
Femi Azeez scores through Gavin Bazunu.
Baker lost possession down the left, with Bocat off after receiving physio treatment. It’s worked to Azeez to hammer it from wide. It’s an ambitious shot and a good effort but it looked like a comfortable enough save for Bazunu – but the keeper turned it into his own net.

Stoke on top for a little spell.
Today20:50 BST
47Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Baker’s corner isi poor and bounces before the six-yard box but it’s headed behind for another.
He gets this deeper and it’s only headed out as far as Seko, who tries a brililant volley from 25 yards that whacks into the post.
Today20:48 BST
47Stoke 0 Millwall 1
A length of the pitch run up the left wing from Sorba Thomas to win Stoke a corner.
Today20:48 BST
46Stoke 0 Millwall 1
An interesting chat with Mike Pejic at half-time, who doesn’t think that enough Stoke players are taking responsibility. He wants Nzonzi and Manhoef to offer more to Agina, for example. Otegbayo is doing ok but has space around him.
Today20:47 BST
46Stoke 0 Millwall 1
We’re underway in the second half. Come on Stoke.
Today20:32 BST
45Half-time
Millwall lead 1-0 at the break. A few boos. Millwall have been able to dictate the tempo a bit too much and Bozenik hasn’t had enough service.
Caleb Taylor has a pop at Bozenik as they walk off.
Today20:31 BST
45+1Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Sorba Thomas takes a quick throw to release Bozenik behind the Millwall defence but it’s pulled back by ref Josh Smith because he wasn’t ready. He tells him to take it, pretty much where he took it from.
Today20:29 BST
44Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Caleb Taylor, who was on Stoke’s long list of targets last summer, gets away with a pull back on Bozenik. Foul but no card.
Today20:27 BST
43Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Thomas beats Crama for pace tracking back. Crama puts his hands on Thomas’s shoulder to pull him back and then kicks the ball away. He’s already on a booking and Josh Smith isn’t the kind of referee who makes consistent decisions.
Today20:26 BST
41Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Baker tries his luck from 25 yards after Millwall give away the ball in their own half. He had a load of time and forces a save out of Anthony Patterson.
Today20:24 BST
39Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Stoke try to counter and Manhoef backs himself to nip it past Jake Cooper and dash behind him just inside the Millwall half. Cooper stops him pretty emphatically and Manhoef looks like he’s run into a brick wall.
Today20:22 BST
37Stoke 0 Millwall 1
Another cross in from the right from Crama. Otegbayo hooks it away but Millwall are on the second ball. Azeez cracks it wide.
Stoke play with fire trying to play out from the back and Bazunu almost gets caught before Bocat does get caught. There are growns when Bocat then kicks it out of play.
