Cameras first started rolling in February last year and have continued on the seafront this week.
Set in 2039, the series depicts a world of soaring temperatures, rising seas and an increasingly menacing political climate.
Yesterday, crews were spotted on the beach where dystopian sets have been constructed.

These include a run-down ice cream truck repurposed as a mobile medical unit, and posters reading “Vote Meyer to save our land: 2039”, offering a glimpse of the show’s themes.
The six-part drama will air on the BBC, although a release date has yet to be announced.
It features a cast including Anna Friel — known for Pushing Daisies, Brookside and Goal! — who was seen filming on set yesterday.
