David Haye has branded Adam Thomas a “professional victim” following their stint on I’m A Celebrity South Africa. The most recent series of the ITV spin-off show, which was pre-recorded last year, has seen several heated arguments unfold among the campmates. But David Haye has claimed unaired scenes show a different side to his argument with Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas.
The boxer appeared on This Morning and made a series of digs at Adam as he spoke about their fallout. When grilled over “bullying” claims by hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, David claimed Adam is “playing the victim card” as he branded his co-star a “professional victim”, reports The Mirror.
David said the truth would “out” about Adam during the live final, which takes place on Friday (April 24). The campmates will reunite, when one star will be crowned the ultimate “legend”.
Speaking about his time on the show, David said: “Gemma [Collins] and I started off frosty, two big personalities, we clashed at the beginning. But once I got to know her, we got on great. We left hand in hand afterwards, such a lovely woman.
“I got on with everyone, even Adam. The bullying thing, he’s really fanning the flames on it and I think his angle is to play the victim card.
“Whenever there was a trial, his sickness popped up and I just called that out, I’m the type of person who sees something and says ‘Nah, you’re full of it.’
“It flares up at convenient times and I just called that out. He’s a super sweet guy but he’s a professional victim, he is a professional victim. I sat next to him on the plane for 10 hours and actually explained to him what banter is. “

Cat and Ben tried to talk to him about the offence he had caused but David doubled down. He said: “Even though Adam is bitching and moaning now, he’s a nice guy. We’re cool but it wasn’t the worst time of his life. If he thinks it’s the hardest time of his life, we’ve got other campmates who can tell him it wasn’t.
“Because that wasn’t shown, he can milk it, and he’ll probably win it off the strength of all the old biddies going ‘Oh, poor Adam!’ That’s the narrative, it’s a TV show, they cut it how they want to cut it. But don’t take my word for it, watch the live show, listen to what the other campmates say.”
David said Craig Charles and Harry Redknapp had been getting “grief” online for not immediately sticking up for Adam following his fallout with Jimmy Bullard, but he vowed the pair would have their chance to share their story during this Friday’s live final.
Meanwhile, soap star Adam revealed that David’s behaviour left him seeking therapy to cope.

Joining his brothers on their podcast, At Home With The Thomas Bros, Adam said: “I did want to be there and there were elements of that experience where I was having an amazing time and I was loving every minute and every moment of it.
“And you know, I got to meet some amazing people in there. But, I found it so tough. When I did it 10 years ago, I was in a completely different mindset. that was the worst thing for me, I was expecting it to be like the first time that I did it and I was like ‘What is going on here?’
“I think in a different environment, you know, on the outside, if this happened to you, you’d go, ‘Oh, right. Okay, he doesn’t like me. I’m just going to leave the situation.’
“But there’s nowhere to hide. I said to my therapist, I was like, ‘Why did I never like stick up for myself?’ And it was because I was always putting other people’s feelings first before mine.
“I didn’t want to bring any attention to it. I was gonna cause drama in camp and dampen everyone’s spirits so I just took it and took it and took it. It got to a point where I was like ‘I am at breaking point here’.”
David has spoken out following his controversial time on I’m A Celebrity…South Africa. He first competed on Ant and Dec’s reality survival show in 2012 and returned to the jungle for the all-stars edition earlier this year.
But his second attempt at spending life in less-than-luxurious conditions has certainly been eventful, and he caused outraged with his comments that left co-stars like Coronation Street legend Beverley Callard and Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt furious.
