There are ‘very low visitor numbers’ on Sundays

Inside Pixel Busters, in Hanley

A retro gaming centre is now shut on Sundays for the ‘foreseeable future’. Pixel Busters opened on Chell Street Industrial Estate, in Hanley, in 2022.

But costs are increasing and changes are being made to its opening hours.

It means Pixel Busters is now only open on Sundays for private hire and three-hour sessions are being brought in Monday to Saturday from May 1.

It comes as some customers had to be turned away last Sunday.

In a social media post to customers, Pixel Busters stated: “We are closed Sundays for the foreseeable. This is due to very low visitor numbers on Sundays for the past few months. Unfortunately, we cannot be open if there isn’t enough demand. This does mean we now have availability from private hire on Sunday afternoons.”
