Fans haven’t got to wait long for their next dose of Weatherfield action, and as a death rocks the cobbles, it’s going to be as dramatic as ever

Coronation Street fans looking for their next fix of Weatherfield action haven’t got to wait much longer, and as a death rocks the cobbles, it’s going to be as dramatic as ever.
Those who follow the ITV soap were disappointed last week as the long-running show was taken off air on Friday (April 24), with the change coming after Carla Connor and Lisa Swain became the first women to successfully marry in Weatherfield.
Viewers watched the emotional scenes as Lisa and Carla delivered their vows to one another,after thinking their wedding day had been scuppered by a flood at the Chariot Square Hotel caused by Carl Webster, before they were officially confirmed as wives in front of Betsy Swain, Ryan Connor and Roy Cropper.

In another surprise, Sally Metcalfe activated the Underworld security alarm, forcing Carla to head into work despite getting married. Upon her entry, everyone was waiting, having come together for a wedding reception, which even took Lisa aback, as she didn’t expect the effort Carla’s workforce had put in.
But for those wanting to see the first moments of life for the newlyweds have had to wait, due to ITV airing the dramatic live final of I’m A Celebrity… South Africa in its place on Friday.
Corrie will return to the schedule on Monday (April 27), and viewers will need to brace themselves for the drama ahead. Towards the end of the wedding episode, after leaving the wedding reception to head into town with Lauren Bolton, Betsy’s scream was mistaken by the newlyweds as a fox.
With nothing seen, Corrie fans have got to wait until next week, where, spread across five nights of drama, the show’s murder mystery will unfold after a flashforward episode in February confirmed a death will rock the cobbles, with Theo Silverton, Carl Webster, Maggie Driscoll, Megan Walsh and Jodie Ramsey revealed as the five possible victims.
Spoilers for Corrie this week have already confirmed that the big reveal won’t take place until next Friday (May 1). Viewers will revisit the same day, but each episode will be seen from the perspective of a different potential victim. At the end of the week, Betsy will find one of them dead, and the hunt to find the killer will then begin.
