Carl Marah, of Dunbar, made it through to the semi-final of Mam Talent!, Poland’s equivalent of Britain’s Got Talent.
The latest episode, which was broadcast on Saturday, saw the former Dunbar Grammar School pupil perform his own song You’re Always Right in front of the judging panel of Agnieszka Chylinska, Marcin Prokop, Julia Wieniawa and Agustin Egurrola.
However, he was not chosen to progress through to the final.
Following the show, which also saw Carl play electric guitar, he took to social media to say: “The first Polish concert and definitely not the last!”
Carl, who will now take his EP Me, Myself, and I on tour, had been encouraged to appear on Mam Talent! by his fiancée Klaudia Jaworska.
And, despite not being Polish, Carl, who is part of Logan’s Close alongside fellow East Lothian native Scott Rough, impressed the judging panel, getting through the heats.
He also spoke fluent Polish on stage while being interviewed.
He said: “As a kid, I remember watching shows like this on TV, so seeing myself performing on screen in such a professional production is quite an out-of-body experience!
“I’m really proud of my performance and it’s truly a career-defining moment for me.
“Massive congratulations to @dreamcatchernina @niewidocznedlaoczu.pl and @kaczorexpop for progressing into the final!
“Everyone in that episode was world class and great things will come everyone’s way I’m sure.”
