Pensthorpe will unveil the space in partnership with Norfolk artist Claire Frances Smith on Monday, May 25.
Housed in the park’s former education building, the gallery will showcase artwork inspired by the Norfolk landscape in a “relaxed, interiors-led” setting.

Ms Smith, who will display her original landscape paintings and giclée prints, said: “I’ve always been inspired by the landscapes around me, so being based at Pensthorpe feels like a natural fit.
“Their focus on nature and education really aligns with how I approach my work, and I wanted to create a space that feels relaxed and welcoming for everyone.”
The gallery’s design aims to make art feel accessible and easy to imagine in visitors’ own homes, and will be styled alongside carefully selected homewares.

In addition to the exhibition, Ms Smith will host seasonal painting workshops throughout the year.
The first session, an En Plein Air Masterclass titled The View from the Fisherman’s Hut, will take place on June 30 and offer participants the chance to paint outdoors within the reserve.
Pensthorpe’s education centre will be relocated and enhanced elsewhere on site over the summer months.
A spokesperson for Pensthorpe said: “We’re always looking for ways to evolve what we offer our visitors and this feels like a natural next step.

“The gallery will be free to enter, like our café and gift shop, adding something new to the overall experience.
“At the same time, our investment in a more interactive education space will help us continue to develop how people connect with and learn about nature.”
The new education facilities will be designed to create a more interactive and engaging learning experience for visitors and educational groups.
