Patel c Hughes b Carson 67 (Surrey 259-2 v Sussex 358-9 dec)
Ryan Patel hits it high, very high, into the sky allowing Daniel Hughes time to get around to behind bowler Jack Carson to take the catch.
Patel had struck a four with the previous ball and looked to go big with the one that followed but he doesn’t get the right connection and knows he has made an error long before Hughes takes the catch.
He goes for 67 and that brings Ollie Pope into the action.
The Surrey top three have all scored half-centuries – no pressure Ollie.
