A major update has now emerged on two WWE stars who could potentially be on their way out of the company.
Throughout the past couple of weeks, a big topic of conversation has been the WWE status of Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
Fightful Select first reported that Kross and Scarlett’s contracts were due to expire this weekend.
The Wrestling Observer then reported earlier this week that there had been a contract offer made by WWE, but there was no word on whether the sides came to an agreement that resulted in the pair re-signing.
In a new update today, Kross and Scarlett have both been moved to the ‘alumni’ section of the official WWE website roster page, which would imply they are no longer with the company.
However, the departure has not been fully confirmed as of yet, with Fightful Select noting it is “cognizant of a potential work”.
It wouldn’t be the first time that someone being moved to the alumni section was done as part of a storyline rather than a legitimate departure, and it’s a particularly relevant question when it comes to Kross and Scarlett considering the blurring of lines that has been a big part of their story and growth this year.
This past week, Kross and Scarlett were not part of WWE Raw or even present at the show, but Kross’ new book was promoted on both Raw and NXT.
Just a couple of days ago, Paul Heyman highly praised Kross and Scarlett in an interview with Ariel Helwani, and even compared the recent groundswell of support to that of Stone Cold Steve Austin.
We’ll keep you posted with any further updates as they emerge.
