A WWE star has announced his departure on social media, six years on from his first appearance for the company.
Ashante “Thee” Adonis has confirmed that he is now closing the WWE chapter of his career.
Adonis took to Twitter to confirm his departure, writing:
“After 6 unforgettable years under the WWE lights, the time has come for me to close that chapter. I’m filled with nothing but gratitude for every opportunity, the experiences, lessons, and incredible talent I’ve had the chance to work with.
I’m truly excited to show the world what I can really do. Sometimes you gotta get off multiplayer and progress your story mode. I believe i’m the face of the future and the reason your girl stopped texting you back 😉
This is a brand new beginning. I am becoming the best version of myself. You have only seen a glimpse of my true potential, and im just scratching the surface. I know that to some this can be a dark time, but stars can’t shine without darkness. – Thee Adonis Out”
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has since confirmed that Adonis’ exit is due to his contract expiring.
Ashante “Thee” Adonis – real name Tehuti Miles – made his WWE debut in April 2019, appearing as “Elijah King” on an episode of Raw.
He officially signed with WWE in August 2020, where he’d eventually become Ashante “Thee” Adonis and form the Hit Row stable with Isaiah “Swerve” Scott (AEW’s Swerve Strickland), Top Dolla (TNA Wrestling’s AJ Francis) and B-Fab, who currently wrestles on WWE SmackDown.
The Hit Row members were called up to the main roster in October 2021, only for Adonis, Top Dolla and Isaiah Scott to be released the following month, shortly after B-Fab had been released.
Adonis, Top Dolla and B-Fab were brought back to WWE in August 2022 following Triple H taking over WWE creative, with Adonis wrestling as part of the SmackDown roster until July 2024, when he returned to NXT.
He most recently wrestled on the June 24 NXT episode, losing to Ricky Saints in singles action.
We will continue to provide updates on Tehuti Miles, fka Ashante “Thee” Adonis as they become available, and wish him all the best for the future.
