Daniel Dubois is set to return to the boxing ring on Saturday night to face Fabio Wardley for the WBO heavyweight title

Daniel Dubois makes his long-awaited return to the ring on Saturday night when he takes on Fabio Wardley for the WBO heavyweight championship. A two-time world champion, ‘Triple D’ has carved out a remarkable career at just 28 years old, boasting an impressive record of 22-3.
Dubois claimed the interim WBA (regular) heavyweight title in June 2021 with a second-round knockout of Bogdan Dinu, before consolidating the belt a year later with a fourth-round stoppage of Trevor Bryan. Although he eventually lost the title to Oleksandr Usyk in August 2023, it wasn’t long before the Briton fought his way back to the top.
An eighth-round TKO of Filip Hrgovic the following June saw him capture the interim IBF belt, which was subsequently upgraded to the full title after Usyk relinquished it. Dubois then defended it successfully against Anthony Joshua, flooring him in the fifth round.
However, Usyk once again proved to be an insurmountable obstacle in July 2025. The unbeaten Ukrainian put his WBA (Super), WBC, WBO and IBO titles on the line against Dubois’ IBF belt and came out on top with a fifth-round stoppage.
Having been out of action since that devastating defeat, Dubois now faces WBO champion Wardley at the Co-op Live Arena on Saturday night. But what does the Englishman’s life look like away from boxing? Wales Online breaks it down…
A stunning Essex mansion
Dubois is believed to have splashed around £1.5million on a lavish property in Essex back in 2020, which he shares with his father, Dave, and his brothers, Prince and Solomon. Extravagantly decorated with wooden sculptures of lions and crocodiles, Dubois gave Boxing Now a walkthrough of his home in 2022.

While finer details about the layout of the property remain thin, it boasts a luxury outdoor swimming pool, a sleek modern kitchen fitted with all the bells and whistle, and sits within a private gated drive.
The home also houses an impressive trophy room displaying his accolades and belts, a personal gym, an outdoor training area and a salon complete with a hot tub tucked away in a separate outhouse. Reflecting on the significance of providing a home for his family in the video, Dubois said: “It’s really important to show for all of the hard work that I’ve put into this sport.

“Not just me, but my brothers, my dad, my sister. We’ve all been at it together from day one and it’s something to show for it really, and there’s more to come.”
When quizzed on whether he rules the roost, he laughed before saying: “No. I just like to see myself as a gladiator, and stick to a sort of routine that I have and everyone else really just gets on with it. So I don’t have to do much else than training and fighting. Life’s pretty simple for me.”
Huge family row
His sister Caroline initially lived in the family home before cutting ties with her father and moving out in 2024 following a bitter feud. Opening up about the dispute, which largely unfolded away from the public eye, in an interview with the BBC, she said: “It’s such a messed-up situation. It’s just so complex.
“When you separate yourself from a person who can be overbearing, where you’re not allowed to have an opinion and not allowed to have a voice, and then you have that freedom, you find what you like and what you dislike. You find what you want to be around, what type of people you want to be with, and what type of people you don’t want to be around.”

Caroline also revealed that she has been unable to watch her brother fight either in person or on television since leaving the family home. She said: “I don’t watch him as a friend, I watch him as a sister.
“It is hard if you’re not there to speak to him and check in on him, go up to him afterwards and either console him or give him a slap on the back. It’s been very hard.”
