We know you’re already excited for Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, but after the first reviews for the new horror movie with Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbender, we’re pretty sure you’ll wish you had already seen it.
The latest movie from acclaimed filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun centres on a filmmaker (Einbender) who is hired to revive long-running slasher franchise Camp Miasma. Her big idea is to bring back the actress (Anderson) who played the final girl in the original movie, but as the two women meet, they fall into a world of desire, fear and delirium.
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma has just received its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival, ahead of its UK premiere in June at SXSW London and its release in cinemas in August. The early reviews are uniformly positive with the movie debuting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
