The latest series of Big Brother is approaching fast, with ITV gearing up for its third season, a quarter of a century since it debuted on Channel 4. Whilst numerous romances have blossomed over the years, just one pair have stood the test of time.

Mikey Dalton, 42, and Grace Adams-Short, 39, first crossed paths on the TV programme 19 years ago and remain happily together today. The duo appeared in the memorable seventh series of the reality programme alongside the late Nikki Grahame and Pete Bennett.

Romance quickly bloomed between them in the hectic house environment, with Mikey proposing marriage merely four months after their departure from the show. The couple exchanged vows in 2009 and have since started a family and become parents to four children. For the latest TV and showbiz gossip sign up to our newsletter

Their eldest daughter Georgina arrived in 2012, followed by their first son Spencer three years afterwards. The pair are also proud parents to six year old Allegra, plus son Atticus, who joined the family in 2022. The couple frequently discuss their plans to eventually show their offspring their Big Brother series, allowing them to witness where their parents first encountered one another and found love, reports the Mirror.

“I didn’t have any idea that I was going to meet my life partner, my husband, absolutely not. We just thought it was going to be a fun summer. I was 20 years old, it was kind of like a gap year!” Grace revealed during a This Morning interview in 2023. Mikey confessed that it wasn’t love at first sight for him, but rather lust.

“I was lusting after her, I still remember the outfit you wore going in and the boots and everything. I was lovestruck when I seen her!”.

Speaking to a local Plymouth newspaper, The Herald, about their swift engagement at the time of their wedding, 23-year-old Grace said: “We got engaged after four months, which may sound quick but we got to know each other so fast on the show, so it felt right for us.”

The most recent romance in the civilian Big Brother house occurred in 2023, between Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan. Fans were cheering for the pair to become a couple in the house and were left utterly devastated when they announced their split earlier this year.

In a statement released on Instagram, Henry wrote: “After a lot of thought, Jordan and I have decided to go our separate ways. “It’s incredibly sad, and we’re both hurting, but we know it’s the right step. We’re so grateful for the love and support you’ve shown us – thank you.” Henry added: “Please give us some space as we figure things out privately.”

Jordan also shared his own statement, writing sadly: “An unfortunate announcement. After many times, memories, and precious experience, Henry and I have parted ways. I want to thank everyone who has supported us. We will always remain close friends. Cheers x.”

In other news, earlier this year, ex-Love Island contestant Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa struck up a close friendship in the Celebrity Big Brother house. Not long after her departure from the show, JoJo announced her split from partner Kath Ebbs, and soon after, she and Chris confirmed their relationship.
