Glasgow City Council have asked locals to name two new adorable peregrine falcon chicks.
The eyasses (the formal name for falcon chicks) were born to the city’s famous bird family last month – mum Bonnie and dad Clyde. The duo have been working hard from their nest box at this year’s nesting site in the city chambers.
The falcon parents, who have been together since 2021, welcomed chicks Jack and Victor into the world last year, though Jack sadly passed away and Victor grew up to fly the nest. Footage shared previously on the Glasgow City Council page, alongside the Glasgow Peregrine Project page, showed the pair in their nest with their eggs.

Now the council is calling on residents to help name two chicks – believed to be male and female. Residents are being asked to submit their favourite names inspired by the city of Glasgow HERE.
Submissions will then be shortlisted, and a public poll will take flight next week to decide the final names for the two baby chicks.
A ‘peregrine cam’ has been installed at their nesting place on the City Chambers spire so the council can keep up to date with their feathered tenants.
