Bradford Bulls boss Kurt Haggerty has revealed that Ethan Ryan will miss next week’s tie against Warrington Wolves after suffering a head knock in the act of scoring.
Ryan finished off an acrobatic team move in the win over Hull FC, touching down in the corner after the ball went through the hands on the left edge.
Thankfully, from a Bulls perspective, he managed to get the ball down, but it came at a cost with their star finisher now set to be unavailable for round 12.
“Unfortunately, it was an incredible finish, and I’m gutted for him, but he’s failed his HIA.
“I think he’s showing that he’s one of the best finishers in Super League on the wing, he’s fantastic.”
In what was good news for the Bulls, they would end up victors over the Black and Whites, doing so in dramatic fashion.
Bradford won 16-14, with a late conversion from Zak Hardaker hitting the post, stopping any potential chance of the game going to golden point.
Assessing the game as a whole, the Bradford boss said: “Frustrated. Happy. Disappointed.
“We didn’t win some big moments, but we won enough big moments to win the game.
“[I’m happy with the] resilince, overall try-line defence. I thought restricting territory at times was pretty good.
“…I just said to them in the changing rooms. I said we’ve not played well, but we’ve won. We’ve had better performances and lost.”

Bradford Bulls boss issues positive Ryan Sutton update
In what will be a boost for Haggerty’s side, the Bulls, who already welcomed back five players this afternoon from injury, could be dealt further good news in regards to Ryan Sutton.
Sutton could potentially be back as early as next week, in what would be a remarkable recovery given he was expected to be out for up to two months when Haggerty revealed the news against Wakefield in mid-April.
Joe Mellor isn’t too far away either, with the Bulls skipper said to be waiting “a little bit longer” than Sutton.
