Falling has made it’s long-awaited debut but when will it return for episode three?

Channel 4 dropped the opening episode of Falling, described as a “witty and moving” romantic drama, on Tuesday, 19 May, and it took little time for audiences to become utterly captivated by the series.

Devoted nun Anna (portrayed by Keeley Hawes) and charismatic Catholic priest David (Paapa Essiedu) find themselves unexpectedly developing feelings for each other, turning both of their lives upside down.

The burning question remains: will Anna and David manage to suppress their emotions, or could this truly be the beginning of an entirely new chapter for them both?

Falling episode release schedule explained

Falling launched on Tuesday, May 19, at 9pm on Channel 4, with the second instalment airing this evening, Wednesday, May 20, in the same time slot.

Regrettably for eager fans, there will be a considerably longer wait before episode three is revealed.

The six-part drama will continue this release pattern, with fresh episodes dropping every Tuesday and Wednesday.

This means episode three won’t air until Tuesday, May 26, and, barring any scheduling changes, the finale will land on Wednesday, June 3.

Here’s a full rundown of the Falling episode release schedule:

Episode One: Tuesday, May 19

Episode Two: Wednesday, May 20

“It’s very different from everything Keeley has done and especially her most recent shows. This looks like it’s gonna be a great ride.”

Another concurred: “Really enjoyed beginning to watch #falling. A very poignant drama.”

While a third observed: “I really think #Falling will be a TV hidden gem this year. Beautifully tender, brilliant scripts and gorgeous direction. Keeley Hawes and Paapa Essiedu on top form.”
